Brian J. Isaac is currently the Artistic Director of the Alexandria Choral Society (Alexandria, VA), the Williamsburg Choral Guild (Williamsburg, VA), and the Founder / Artistic Director of Church Circle Singers (Annapolis, MD).  He is also the Interim Director of Choral Music at Thomas Nelson Community College (Hampton, VA), adjunct music faculty at Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA) and Tidewater Community College (Portsmouth, VA), and has most recently held the positions of Assistant Conductor with the Washington Master Chorale (Washington, D.C.) and Director of Choirs at Damascus High School (Damascus, MD).

 During his time at Damascus High School, Brian’s choral ensembles performed in prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall (New York City, NY), National City Christian Church (Washington, D.C.), National Presbyterian Church (Washington, D.C.), and Riverside Church (New York City, NY) and with distinguished choral conductors like Dr. Anton Armstrong (St. Olaf Choir), Mr. Robert Shafer (City Choir of Washington) and Mr. Thomas Colohan (Washington Master Chorale).  Additionally, these ensembles twice commissioned and premiered new works by composers Todd Goodman (Invictus, 2012) and Thomas Colohan (Psalm 96, 2014).  

Founded in 2015, Church Circle Singers have been praised for their clean, focused choral sound and adventurous programming.  Their music-mentor initiative, Church Circle Young Singers, offers a unique opportunity for talented high school choral students from Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, to engage with professional musicians in an intensive rehearsal and performance process - all at no cost to the students.

 In addition to conducting, Brian maintains an active professional singing schedule and has performed with organizations like the Virginia Symphony, the Virginia Chorale, Opera Roanoke, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Washington Master Chorale, among others.

 Brian holds a Master of Music in Music Education from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University.
